A Buffalo girl born and raised. I grew up right next to the East Coast's best sunsets on the coast of Lake Erie. Although Buffalo summers do not last very long, the beach is my favorite place to be. It's loud with the right kind of noise and has an amazing view that can cure just about anything. Art has always been a part of my life. I started taking dance classes at three years old, and I have always enjoyed expressing myself through art ever since. Photography sparked an interest for me because it's such a timeless gift.
My husband gifted me my first canon camera in 2020 and I haven't put it down since. When you cherish the things around you deeply, you realize the importance of documenting your memories. It is the only way to freeze time. Being able to slow down and enjoy the little moments, that certainly don't last forever, is something I will always be grateful for. Becoming a mother and having such precious subjects to practice on throughout the years sparked my interest in documenting the details, those dimpled hands and toes, the little baby curls that eventually straighten out... Watching those little sweet faces grow through my lens and capturing little lovely moments fulfills my mama heart. Seeing frames throughout my house of beautifully captured moments, that I never want to forget, makes my house a home. Reliving the precious giggles from my babies captured in frames that hug every wall of my home is priceless to me.
Capturing the in-between moments is where my passion lies. Having an eye for those type of moments leads to a gallery full of un-posed, real, authentic memories filled with a variety of detail shots and emotional shots as well as a few prompted smile ones too. However I can promise to fill your gallery with enough emotion to remind you every time you look through the love shared, whether it's your engagement session, family session, baby's first birthday cake smash or your wedding day. I'm a storyteller at heart. I capture the moments, emotions and little details that make your gallery unmistakenably yours.
Growing up, my grandfather's nickname for me was "Sweet Face." I had a great relationship with my grandparents as a child. Reminiscing about their life stories and looking through shoe boxes filled with old photo albums will forever be one of my favorite past times. Those moments shaped me into a lover of simple things and to value my family and the time you have with them. My children were the reason I found passion behind the camera, in hopes to give them the documentation of their memories to pass on for generations. My hope is that Sweet Face Photography can give others the same in return.
